Andy Mann
Andy doesn’t enjoy standing still.
Business degree and projects in East Africa, Trader at Sumitomo Corporation in London, Royal Marines followed by MBA in business and arriving in TCI in 1995.
Originally working as an underwater videographer and photographer he has taken the company over the last ten years into digital, into weddings, into high-end lifestyle photography,
commercial photography and video production, aerial imagery and now into what has been called “the best photo operation in the Caribbean”
Andy moves from CEO to creative on a daily if not hourly basis and enjoys both – too much!!
With the new greenbuild studio and its additional space and fabulous facilities – he feels there is going to be a whole new level to reach for and is committed to providing the best and is astounded every day by the support and commitment he gets from the whole Brilliant/Tropical Imaging team.
Like everyone else he travels and has been lucky enough to work in Africa, Europe and many countries in the Caribbean.
David Gallardo
Born in Portugalete, Spain, the son of a commercial diver, I always had a passion for the ocean and for traveling around the world I grew up in Barcelona where I became a scuba instructor and in 1998 I decided it was time to start looking for my dream job somewhere in the tropics.
I first came to the Turks & Caicos Islands in 1999 where I had the opportunity to enjoy the clear waters and where I started to do underwater photography.
I joined Tropical Imaging in 2003.
Ileana Ravasio
Traveling around the world has always been the dream of my life: I studied tourism and learned 4 languages to become a flight attendant, but my career on the planes never took off due to a busted ear drum.
As I wasn’t able to touch the sky I decided to explore the depth of the sea and, after being a tour guide in several countries, I became a diving instructor. I arrived in the Turks and Caicos 8 years ago, with the intention to stay 6 months and move again, but I fell in love with the island and my new passion: photography.
Born near Milan, Italy, I have been exposed and attracted to great fashion, photography and art since I was a little girl – in 2004 I joined Tropical Imaging, collected all my life experience
and learned to become a professional photographer.
I’m currently in charge of the wedding department and I truly feel privileged to help capture so many wonderful events. I love to add a fashion touch to my images and face new challenges.

I was bitten by the travel bug at a fairly young age, all thanks to my parents. We were always told “there is a whole world out there, go out and explore.” So when I was old enough I decided I wanted to do just that – I would travel and work as a dive instructor.
I started working in Grand Cayman, followed by a period in South Africa and came to Turks & Caicos in 2001. After a few more years as a dive instructor here I joined Tropical Imaging in 2005. I now dive when I can and enjoy every minute of it!
Louise Middleton
Unlike most of the other employees of Tropical Imaging Louise did not start out as a dive instructor!!
I moved to the Turks and Caicos Islands in May 2007 from Gloucester in the UK. I have a background in photography production having worked (back in the old days of 35mm film and processors!) for the 3rd largest school photography company in England, and also at commercial photography lab as a hand-printer and production co-ordinator.
My working background also includes legal admin positions for the Probation Service, Criminal Justice Drugs Team, Public Defender Service, and finally Shelter, a charity for homeless people. After moving to Provo I volunteered for the local SPCA before I started working for Tropical Imaging as the production co-ordinator.
The combination of my admin and photography experience have been ideal for all of our in-house ordering, processing and office admin. In addition to ensuring our office runs smoothly, I have experience of using our design software such as ProSelect, Lightroom and Photoshop to ensure that the finished product look perfect before it is sent out to our customers.
Now I’m following in the footsteps of my colleagues, and passed the PADI scuba diving qualification back in May this year…!
Preston Dickenson
A native of Turks & Caicos, I was born in Salt Cay, and attended high school in Grand Turk.
I first joined Peter Hughes’ “Sea Dancer” as a steward, then became a divemaster and instructor. After working as a dive instructor in the Leeward Islands, I returned to TCI in 89 to work in Provo, and in 97 joined forces with Andy to start Fish Frames, which became Tropical Imaging.
From shooting underwater photos and video as a dive instructor, I progressed to shooting video on land with Tropical Imaging – and now work as TI/Brilliant’s chief cinematographer and editor.
